Music of Code Geass to Feature in an Orchestral Concert

New activities for the Code Geass franchise just keeps on coming, and among them is the recently-announced orchestral concert featuring some of the anime’s music. The concert is entitled Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion-The Orchestra Concert, which will feature 40 songs from the series. The event’s official website has teased some of the songs to be played in the concert, such as the fan-favorite opening theme song Colors by FLOW, and other instrumentals such as Beautiful Emperor, Previous Notice, and Nightmare, among others.

The concert will also feature a special appearance by series director Goro Taniguchi, with other special guests to be announced in the event’s website. Yui Morishita, who is famously known in the music world as the Duke of Pianeet, will be conducting the concert.

A new illustration for the concert was recently released, which fans can buy in the venue along with other limited-edition goods. The new illustration features Lelouch, Suzaki, C.C., and Nunnally all done up in their classy formal best. Check it out below:

The Code Geass franchise has seen a resurrection in recent years, despite having finished airing in 2008. In October 2017 it released the first of three compilation films, with the last being released on May 2018. The film, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection, which serves as a sequel to the anime was released in Japan on February 9, 2019 and subsequently in the US on May 5.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion-The Orchestra Concert will be happening on March 22 at the Tokyo Opera City Hall: Takemitsu Memorial.
