A full trailer is officially released for the CoMix Wave Films’ collaboration anime anthology project with Haoliners, “Shikioriori” a.k.a. “Poem of Seasons Woven Together”.
Featured in the trailer is a preview of Vickeblanka’s theme song “WALK” and the confirmation of the film’s release on August 4. At the time of the anime’s release, there will be a three-week limited run. Also revealed on the official site of the anime is a new visual.
The anime is an anthology comprised of three shorts titled, “Hidamari no Chōshoku” (Sunny Breakfast), “Chiisana Fashion Show” (A Small Fashion Show), and “Shanghai Koi” (Shanghai Love). Each short holds the theme of food, clothing, and shelter respectively and tells of different characters.
For the “Hidamari no Chōshoku” short, it will be featuring a youth working in Beijing and a grandmother in his hometown. The short will also be the animation directorial debut for writer and live-action director Jiaoshou Yi Xiaoxing. The second short, “Chiisana Fashion Show” will be directed by Yoshitaka Takeuchi, the 3DCG chief in many of Makoto Shinkai’s films. The story tells of sisters living in Guangzhou.
Last but not least, the third short, “Shanghai Koi,” will be directed by Haoliners president Li Haoling. The story in 1990s Shanghai and is an homage to “5 Centimeters Per Second.” More than this, Li Haoling is noted as the overall director for the anime.
For the cast (starting from left to right) and the first short, Taito Ban takes on the role of Shaomin the protagonist while Mariya Ise plays the character as a child.
In the second short, there is Minako Kotobuki playing as Irin the older sister and fashion model. Voicing as the younger sister Lulu is Haruka Shiraishi. Another role in the short is as Irin’s manager Steve, which will be taken on by Hiroki Yasumoto.
With the final short, Takeo Ōtsuka voices as protagonist Rimo while Ikumi Hasegawa will be playing as his romantic partner, Shiaoyu.
