The upcoming “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: Detonation” has been confirmed to release in Japan on October 19, 2018.
Along with the film’s premiere date announcement, a new visual was also released for the sequel work to the 2017 theatrical anime film, “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: Reflection. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: Detonation”. Prior to this report, a promo video had already been released for the film.
Directing the film is Takuyuki Hamana, the director behind the “Prince of Tennis: Two Samurais, The First Game” film. As for the animation, Seven Arcs Pictures is credited for the prediction. Taking charge of the script is Masaki Tsuzuki who has worked on previous “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha” (“MGLN”)works. Returning to work on the character designs is Kana Hashidate.
This will be the fourth theatrical film of the “MGLN” franchise and will be continuing the tale of “Reflection”. The story of the said film begins with a pair of researchers who in hopes of reviving their dying planet Eltria, decide to stay on it along with their two daughters, Amitie and Kirie. One day, however, the husband Granz falls ill and all hope seems lost.
Determined to seek, Kirie goes against her older sister’s wishes and sets off with her childhood friend Iris to a different alternate world. Upon arriving in Japan on earth, they meet Nanoha Takamachi, Fate T. Harlaown, and Hayate Yagami. Thus, begins the search for the key to Eltria’s regeneration.
According to the film’s website, there will be a look into the history between Iris and Yuri and the tragedy of Eltoria’s “Planet Reclamation Committee.”
“Magical Lyrical Nanoha” is a media franchise that had its start in 2004. Comprised of five anime television series, three theatrical adaptations, multiple manga and Drama CD adaptations and sequels, the franchise has also had figurine merchandise released.
It was with the anime series, which was an alternate universe spin-off of the Triangle Heart series that the franchise began. From the title, the series takes focus on a 9-year old schoolgirl
Named Nanoha Takamachi. One day she finds herself swept into a conflict between extra-dimensional powers vying for control over magical artifacts they had discovered on Earth.
