Over the past few years up to this point, millions of viewers hastily looked for new ways to entertain themselves.
The second season of “Overlord” has reached its end and now it’s been announced that the dark fantasy series will be making its return for a third season in July 2018 on Japanese TV.
For the cast and staff, those who worked on the series for the past two seasons will be reprising their roles. Acting as director once more is Naoyuki Itou, the director behind “Digimon Data Squad.” With him to work as the series’ writer is “Idolm@ster SideM’s” Yukie Sugawara. As for the character designs, Takahiro Yoshimatsu makes his return.
Along with the announcement of the new season, there were three new cast/characters revealed for the season and they include:
Takahiro Sakurai, the voice behind Griffith in “Berserker” playing as the Emperor of the Baharuth Empire, Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix. He is also known as Bloody Emperor for the purging of many imperial nobles after his ascension to the throne.
Fluder Paradyne to be played by Takaya Hashi, who played a role in “Princess Principal” as Duke Normandy. The character is described as the Imperial Court Wizard of the Baharuth Empire in the New World and the headmaster of the Imperial Magic Academy.
Being also in charge of the Ministry of Magic in Arwintar, he is considered as the Strongest Wizard of the Empire for his abilities and is said to be comparable to the Thirteen Heroes.
For the rest of the cast they consist of the following:

Yumi Hara as Albedo
Sumire Uesaka as Shalltear Bloodfallen
Masayuki Katou as Demiurge
Kenta Miyake as Cocytus

The story of began with popular MMORPG being scheduled to be shut down permanently. Momonga, a veteran player decides to stay logged in in the game until the last second. However, when the countdown ends, Momonga realizes he cannot log out; not only that but the NPCs have come to life and the entire guild has been transported to another world. Thus begins his new journey in solving the mystery of the world they’ve landed in and taking on the task of overlord.
