Viz Announces Multiple Things Including Their Aquirement of K Movies - Seven Stories

Multiple announcements have been made by Viz Media at Anime Boston. Ranging from anime to manga and more, some of the series titles involved in the announcements include “Abara”, “Dragon Quest Illustrations”, the six-movie series “K Movies – Seven Stories”, and many more.

On the manga side of things, there is the release of sci-fi horror manga “Abara.” Created by Tsutomu Nihei, the creator of “Knights of Sidonia”, the series is set for December 2018 with the Complete Deluxe Edition. Another series making its way to December is “We Never Learn”, a series from the Shounen Jump magazine that tells of one boy and two beautiful girl geniuses.

Coming in October 2018 is the first volume of “Ao Haru Ride” a new title for the Shoujo Beat magazine. A notable announcement for the manga side of Viz Media’s announcements involves a spinoff manga for the “Dragon Ball” franchise.”

Titled as “Dragon Ball: That Time I Got Reincarnated as Yamcha!” it will be making it’s release in November 2018. It is a reincarnation story that involves a die-hard Dragon Ball fan finding himself reincarnated as none other than “Dragon Ball’s” biggest punching bag Yamcha. Also making a debut in November are the first volumes of “Ran and the Gray World” and “Record of Grancrest.”

In the Box Set side of announcements, the “Bleach” Box Set 3, which is the third and final Box Set will be released in November 2018. Featured in the set are volumes 49-74 along with an exclusive mini-comic, author interview, and a full-color, double-sided poster. Set for October 2018 is the “Tokyo Ghoul” box set that includes all fourteen volumes of the original Tokyo Ghoul series and an exclusive double-sided poster.

Outside of the manga and box set side is the announcement of the “Dragon Quest Illustrations 30th Anniversary Edition” in December 2018. This is an archive of Akira Toriyama’s iconic illustrations and designs. It spans over 30 years of Dragon Quest titles released from 1986 through 2016.

On another note, the company has acquired the six-movie series “K Movies – Seven Stories” and a top-notch cosplay of Koro Sensei was found at Anime Boston.
