madan no ou to vanadis [TV]

Lord Marksman and Vanadis is set a parallel universe version of Europe. It is divided into five kingdoms: Asvarre (?? Asuv?ru?), Sachstein (? Sakusutain?), Brune (? Bury?nu?), Zhcted (? Jisut?to), and Muozinel (? Muojineru). Asvarre is located in the western part of Europe and is divided into two territories; it was once known for its natural resources. The far eastern country Muozinel is surrounded by vast deserts and relies on other countries due to lack of resources. Central to the story is Zhcted, a kingdom which is known for its military power, led by seven war maidens (?? Senki?), also known as the Vanadis. Zhcted is also known for its winters, which are longer than its bordering countries. Bordering this kingdom is Brune, Zhcted’s rival which is known for its military power and wealth. The two kingdoms have been involved with disputes due to the neighboring floods that have occurred for 20 years. During this time, Brune is beset by the pending turmoil of its heirs due to the king’s sickness. Zhcted’s invasion of Brune eventually leads to the civil war at the start of the first arc.
